Frequently Asked Questions

Everything about how CODREP processes reports, our Activision collaboration, and the rules of engagement.

What is CODREP?

CODREP is a community-driven platform for reporting cheaters, glitchers, and exploiters in Call of Duty. Players submit video evidence against player Activision IDs, our moderators verify the evidence, and verified cases are forwarded to Activision for in-game enforcement.

Do you work with Activision to ban reported cheaters?

Yes. We actively collaborate with Activision developers. Reports that our moderation team verifies with conclusive video evidence are forwarded to Activision's security team for review and, where confirmed, in-game bans.

Reports that don't meet our evidence bar stay on the platform as a community record but are not submitted upstream. The final ban decision always rests with Activision based on their own investigation.

What evidence do I need to submit a report?

  • A clear video clip showing the player cheating (mp4, webm, or mov, up to 100 MB).
  • A screenshot or video of the after-match scoreboard with the match ID fully visible.
  • For closet cheating (soft aim, subtle wall-peeks): multiple clips are strongly recommended.
  • We auto-reject phone recordings, screenshots alone, or links to external platforms.

What is an Activision ID and where do I find it?

Your Activision ID is a cross-platform identifier in the format Username#1234567 — a name plus a hash followed by digits. You can find it in-game under Profile → Account or in the Social menu next to your name.

Which platforms do you support?

PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Activision IDs are cross-platform, so the same player record covers all three. When you submit a report you pick the platform you encountered them on.

How long does it take for a report to be reviewed?

Typically 24–72 hours, depending on report volume. Once a moderator reviews your report it transitions from PENDING to either VERIFIED (forwarded to Activision) or REJECTED (does not meet the evidence bar).

Why do I need to sign in with Discord?

Discord OAuth gives us a stable identity without us collecting passwords or personal data. It also makes it harder for bot accounts to spam fake reports, since real Discord accounts have a history and a community footprint.

What happens to my data if I delete my account?

All of your reports, comments, and uploaded clips are removed from our storage and database via cascade deletion. Player records of others remain on the platform — those are community history, not your personal data.

Can I appeal if I've been reported?

Yes. You can comment directly on the report page to provide context or counter-evidence, or contact us by email. Wrongful reports are removed by moderators and may result in strikes against the original reporter.

How do I contact the team?

By email at contact@codrep.cc. For ban appeals, please include your gamertag and a link to the report so the moderation team can respond quickly.
